Summary   This 7-room apartment has a stunning view, with a 70m2 terrace with panoramic views over the Esterel, bay of Cannes and towards Nice. Our property, built in the typical style of Provence, nestles in 3 acres of landscaped gardens, with a private tennis court, swimming pool 23*46 ft., petanque & table tennis. At a height of 1800 feet, with a panoramic view from St. Tropez via Cannes to Nice, our garden is the perfect setting for a romantic wedding, a big family get-together or a company reunion.
Our property was renovated in 2005-6, and our apartments & cottage have been decorated in Scandinavian style, function and quality, with a dash of Provence in them. We rent on a weekly basis.

We call this 4-bedroomed apartment with magnificent views from the terrace and the dining room "La Veranda". It has an independent entrance with hallway, downstairs WC, and large living & dining rooms opening out onto the terrace With 4 bedrooms with double beds and 2 newly renovated (2008) bathrooms on the first floor there is room for 8 people.

The duvets and pillows have natural fillings and the towels are fluffy and soft. The living room is nicely furnished with an L-shaped sofa, and has a PC, DVD player and internet. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, convection microwave, oven, toaster, electric kettle, all kitchen utilities & a large fridge & freezer. There is a BBQ on the terrasse which also has nice teak garden furniture and a large parasol.

Directly on our property, you will be able to:

· Enjoy a day of leisure at the pool, play a few sets of tennis, play boules, or have a game of table tennis in the shaded garden.

· Go for a leisure walk in the surrounding forest. Peaceful trails, spectacular stone formations, hidden grottos - all await your discovery.

· Go jogging on a 2625 ft. flat trail.

· If you have a desire for more strenuous exercise, a well developed trail system is perfect for mountain biking, and will take you to many of the surrounding villages.

Location   You will find us a couple of miles outside the little hilltop village of Cabris, pleasantly withdrawn, yet only 10 minutes from the famed “perfume city” of Grasse, 25 minutes from Cannes and about an hour from Nice.

Our proximity to Grasse, Cannes and all the exiting cities of the area, as well as to the hinterland of Provence, offers many excursion possibilities.

Golf
Southern France is a perfect place for all levels of golfers. You can literally play a different course each day of your vacation.
The closest 18-hole course is only 6 minutes away, but within an one hour drive you can reach 10 different courses.

Mountain biking
The area surrounding the property is criss-crossed by trails and secondary roads. They take you to the mountains, to quiet forest glades or to the villages, the choice is yours. A Mountain Bike is a perfect way of travelling in the hinterland, if you like an active vacation.
But we are in the mountains, and some grades are steep, so a suitably geared bike is highly recommended.

Caves
The immediate area offers many exciting opportunities for excursions.
Among them are the prehistoric caves, located only a few kilometres from the property. They offer guided tours, and some even sound and light shows.

Boating and fishing
The Lac de St Cassien, visible from the property when you look to the west, offers peadl boats, small electrical boats, Canoe and even surfboard rental. It is a very pleasant alternative to the crowded beaches at the seaside. It is much used by the local population on warm summer days for family picnics and swimming.

Trekking
We are right on the edge of large forests and mountains. The area is great for taking a hike- short or long, so remember suitable footwear. For the more ambitious hikers or just plain sightseeing, the Gourdon gorge with villages, castles and breathtaking views is an obvious option.
Gorges de Verdon speaks for itself; aptly nicknamed “the Grand Canyon of Europe”
The coastal mountain range offers a number of marked trails, from Monaco to Toulon.

Beaches.
No visit to the Cote d’Azur is complete without a visit to beaches of the Mediterranean. It is only a 30 min drive away, subject to the ever present traffic.
Rocky Beaches, sandy beaches…. Take your pick. The usual water sports activities are, of course available.

Skiing.
The Cote d’Azur in general, and our location in particular, is one of the few places where you conveniently, at certain times of the year, can take a swim in the Mediterranean in the morning, and go skiing in the afternoon.

From late December until April many ski resorts offer snow-guarantee, and they all have equipment for rent. The slopes are of varying difficulty, satisfying all levels of expertise. The nearest resort is Grolieres, an hours drive.

Shopping and leisure in the area….
The neighbouring villages offer an exceptional opportunity to immerse yourself in life á la Provencal. Market days offer produce, herbs and spices to your hearts’ content. Small handicraft studios and shops abound in the area, offering all things special to the region.

Grasse is only 10 minutes away, and is the renowned city of perfume. The major manufacturers offer free factory tours, and the city itself has some very charming and typically Mediterannean quarters. It offers many good restaurants, as well as shopping opportunities.

Cannes… city of festivals and the famed beach promenade. Chic and fashionable shops offer the very latest in style and fashion. Antique- and flea-markets are also popular among tourists.

Nice… the city speaks for itself… cultural offerings from art over jazz and rock to classical music abound in this very culturally active city.
The old town is characterized by winding streets, and beautiful old buildings; perfect for a leisurely stroll.

Antibes Juan-les-Pins is a year round active city. Sailing, Carnivals, Classical cars, music of all kinds… there is almost always some special activity going on.
 
 
How to get here   We are located in the mountains a couple of miles from Cabris, 4 miles from Grasse, and app. 15,5 miles from Cannes.
From Nice airport, it is a 40 minute drive, if traffic doesn’t act up.

You will likely be travelling on the A8. Take exit 42, direction Grasse/ Route Napoleon.

As you reach Grasse Centre, look for signs to Cabris.
In Cabris, just bear right towards St Vallier on the D4.
About 3.5 km up this road, you will se our sign towards "Domaine du Bois dŽAmont" on the left side of the road.

Prices include broadband internet, water and electricity.
Extras to be paid upon arrival:
Optional rental of linen and towels: 12 euro/person/week
Obligatory end cleaning: 80 euro

At booking, a 50% deposit is required. Balance to be paid at latest 4 weeks prior to arrival.

Cancellation
- Until 3 months prior to arrival - 90% of deposit refunded.
- Until 2 months prior to arrival - 50% of deposit refunded.
- Until 1 month prior to arrival – 25% of deposit refunded
- Later than 1 month prior to arrival – deposit not refunded.

All prices are valid for maximum 8 persons occupancy.


Arrival: Saturdays 4-8 pm
Departure: Saturdays no later than 10am.

During the off-season we may be able to offer special rates and departure/arrival arrangements, as well as number of days of occupancy.

Reservations less than a week: weekly rent/7 plus 20%

During low season, special rates apply for longer term rentals.
