17th century Touraine farm (La Vieille Ferme), is now four well equipped, attractively restored individual houses with many original features and beams. Each house has own garden, BBQ and garden furniture. Large grounds, heated swimming pool (solar panel and heat exchanger) and open barn for relaxing in the shade. Ample parking. Cycle hire. On site games, badminton, soft tennis, boules . Laundry room. Electricity and gas included. Linen service. Free welcome pack. Regret no pets. The Farmhouse, which sleeps 2-5 people, has retained many of its charming, original features. The ground floor has a terracotta-tiled floor, stunning, exposed original beams and a huge old fireplace with wood-burning stove. The living room has comfortable seating, with a stereo system, video player and 21" monitor. The fully equipped kitchen area has a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, cooker and microwave oven. The groundfloor double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with shower, toilet and basin. The wooden, open staircase leads to the first floor, with a stunning original beam structure. There are two further bedrooms on this floor. One bedroom has bunk beds and the other is a charming twin bedded room. There is also a shower room with shower, toilet and basin. Both bedrooms overlook the garden and wooded countryside. Electricity, gas and logs for wood-burning stoves are included. La Vieille Ferme is open all year for visitors and is conveniently located in the small, delightfully unspoilt village of Cléré du Bois, with a shop, bar and restaurant just 5 minutes walk away in the village. The restaurant serves regional French cuisine as well as pizzas and also offers a take-away service. Also two minutes walk from La Vieille Ferme is a large, grassy park on the edge of the village with a children's play area and boules pitch. |

Cléré du Bois is situated on the borders of the Brenne Regional Park and is approximately 65km to the south of Tours. It is 9km from the town of Châtillon-sur-Indre which has supermarkets, shops, garage, restaurants, cafés, modern swimming pool with water slide, paddling pool, Jacuzzi and picnic areas with an activity park. The stunning medieval market town of Loches is nearby. Cléré du Bois is within easy driving distance of a golf course, casino, tennis courts, zoo, animal park, Poitiers, Futuroscope, Tours and Limoges. Located in a small village with shop and bar / restaurant nearby. A relaxing and tranquil setting yet within easy access to all amenities: supermarket, shops, sports facilities. Ideally situated for the chateaux, vineyards, Brenne regional park, walking, cycling, water sports, go-karting, bird watching, fishing, horse riding, lakeside sandy beach, Futuroscope and much more! | How to get here |
Cléré du Bois is easy to find and well signposted once in the vicinity. Use TOURS as target destination (A10 Paris to Bordeaux). From TOURS take the N143 to LOCHES and on to CHATILLON SUR INDRE. Take D975 for 8½ km, turn right signposted CLERE DU BOIS for last 2 km. In Cléré du Bois you will find us on southern edge of the village. Find the church and opposite there is a parking area. Our property is just past this parking area. It has a white limestone drive and is on the road to Obterre. |
