The upper level consists of over 60 square metres of bedroom space amidst ancient beams. With full linen provided, there is a double bed in one room and 2 singles and a luxury double futon in the other. There is also room for additional bedding if required.
Downstairs in the lounge there is a large dining table and original fireplace with a log burning stove providing the perfect spot in which to relax. Maybe listen to a CD or grab a book from the shelves, or get stuck into a game of Trivial Pursuits. There is also a DVD player and access to our extensive DVD library featuring over 200 films and TV shows. A well- equipped kitchen will provide you with the inspiration to recreate some of the gastronomic delights you have been trying in the local restaurants.There is an gas oven and microwave and large fridge/freezer. There is a wet room with rain shower and sink, and a separate WC with sink.
Attached is a private garden with sun terrace and stunning views of the countryside and pool. The garden is equipped with seating and a barbeque. All your fuel for the BBQ and indoor wood burner is complimentary. We have a selection of mountain bikes for your pleasure and also a wealth of maps and leaflets covering the area. A welcome basket awaits and we try to provide some fresh eggs when our chickens lay! A pre-arrival shopping service is provided (just pay for your goods on arrival).
Pets are welcome with notice. Guests on 2 week stays have their sheets laundered mid stay. We provide both bath sheets and hand towels for the gite, and large beach towels for the pool or river swimming. We can also prepare picnics with advanced notice. The gite is equipped with a cot, baby bath, baby monitor, high chair, potty and bottles. The stairs are separated with a child's safety gate at the top. Our pool is also equipped with an alarm.

We are ideally situated for tasting the delights of rural South West France. In the tranquil and picturesque Averyon Gorge we are just north of Toulouse and minutes from the medieval village of Bruniquel.The region’s capital Toulouse offers much to see and do with a wealth of museums, shops, restaurants and the famous Cite de l’Espace. The Canal Du Midi offers the chance to spend a leisurely day afloat one of Unesco’s World Heritage Sites. Closer to home is the Roman settlement of Montauban; a centre for art and culture- it’s International Jazz Festival attracting legends to perform. Albi, with its magnificent cathedral and famous Toulouse Lautrec museum. is well worth a day’s visit and can be reached in around an hour. Spend time driving through the multitude of medieval villages and hilltop bastides. Najac, Cordes Sur Ciel and the town of St Antonin (used for the filming of Charlotte Grey) are all close. The region’s local markets offer fine, seasonal produce such as Gaillac wines, truffles, foie gras, dried lavender, and the famous Lautrec pink garlic! This region of France is well equipped for visitors with many restaurants, outdoor activities and shopping opportunities. We are also within a morning’s drive of Barcelona or a visit to the sacred pilgrimage site of Lourdes.

How to get here
|

Our nearest airport is Toulouse, serviced by many airlines inc Easyjet, BA, Air France, BMI Baby, and KLM. The driving time from Blagnac airport is around one hour. Alternatively Rodez airport is around 1 hour 50 mins drive and is serviced by Ryanair. There is a wide variety of car hire companies at Toulouse airport, many of whom offer special prices on carhire on receipt of boarding cards etc
From Toulouse by car follow the blue Autoroute (Motorway) signs for Bordeaux A62. Take a ticket at the 1st Peage (toll booth) and drive for approx 30 minutes. Take A20 turn off, direction Paris and Montauban. Pay toll (2 Euros 30 centimes),Follow BLUE sign for MONTAUBAN- the A20 now becomes the N20. After approx 10 mins take junction , direction Gorge D'Aveyron, Negrepelise and St Etienne. Pass through Negrepelise ( going through two roundabouts) and after 5 minutes at new roundabout* (there is a restaurant at the turning on the corner called Restaurant Du Postillion). take the turning right direction Puygaillard/Monclar. After about 3/4 minutes at the fork in the road, take a left towards Puygaillard. Just after the turning to Puygaillard on your right, turn left up a small lane signposted 'Les Nouals'. At the T junction turn right and we are first group of buildings on the left.
From Paris: Drive south on the Autoroute A20. Come off at Junction 59 Caussade. Take the 4th exit off the roundabout into Caussade town centre. Caussade is all roundabouts! -Go straight over the next 2 roundabouts, then take the 3rd exit on the next one. Straight over a mini roundabout. then straight over the fifth one (the post office should be on your right here) Follow the road round to the right and go straight over the last roundabout. This road is the D964, signposted Montricoux. Follow the road through Montricoux, go over the bridge then turn left at the new roundabout* (as above - signposted Puygaillard/Monclar) Follow above directions from here.
By Train from Toulouse or Montauban our nearest station is Caussade (approx 15 mins). A taxi will cost around 20 euros one way.*Please note there are no public transport facilities from Les Nouals.

LOW SEASON: 250 POUNDS PER GITE PER WEEK MID SEASON: 400 POUNDS PER GITE PER WEEK PEAK SEASON: 550 POUNDS PER GITE PER WEEK Change over day is midday Saturday. Guests are asked to arrive after 3pm, and depart by 12pm. A 25% deposit (non refundable) is required at the time of booking and the remainder within 6 weeks of departure.
