Le Mournet is located in the beautiful village of Albon d'Ardeche which has a great local shop, bakery (watch out for the Almon croissant) and tabac. Relax, unwind, make the most of the Yoga and Ayurvedic Massage on site....do as little or as much as you like! It is an ideal location to stay for the Rubgy World Cup 2007!!! La Chataigne is one of three recently converted properties on one site with a large swimming pool and sun terrace. Each property has its own style and character and La Chataigne is decorated in shades of green to reflect the naural environment surrounding it and has its own private garden, terrace and BBQ. We are told the property is fantastic for couples and tiny babies as the walls are 1 metre thick and the property stays cool throughout the Summer! The grounds have pleasant places to sit and relax as well as swings, a slide, croquet lawn and a table tennis table for the children of all ages & a garden slopes down to the Gluyere river (our garden and pool are fenced seperately). A beautifully unspoilt rural part of France to come and relax. You can enjoy a private yoga session or relaxing Ayurvedic Massage on site as well - just enquire for more details. La Chataigne has one bedroom and sleeps 2-4. Ideal for a couple of small family. La Chataigne offers a large double bedroom and the spacious lounge/kitchen area has a comfortable sofa-bed for an extra 2 people. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and bath/shower all under the original vaulted ceiling. The spacious kitchen, dining and lounge area is nicely furnished in shades of green and has a light modern airy feel to it. The private garden and terrace are close to the pool and main gardens. Garden furniture and BBQ are also provided. The property has a fully equipped kitchen, clothes horse, iron, mini Hi-Fi, mini library, a selection of board games. The property is equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player and UK satelite channels as well as WIFI connection. We believe the little touches count! We provide bedding and your beds are made up for you before you arrive. Bath and Hand towels are provided (pool towels can be rented locally) as are dish cloths, washing-up liquid, dishwasher powder, salt, pepper, tissues and cotton wool. A little pillow chocolate will accompany you on your irst night at Le Mournet....We can also provide baby bed, bath, changing mat and high chair free of charge if required. There is a complimentary bottle of wine and basket of our own garden wlanuts waiting for you when you arrive. We also provide a very detailed welcome folder to help you make the most of your stay and a restaurant booking service. A washing service is also available. You can pre-order a welcome basket (standard, enhanced or gourmet) so that you don't have to shop before you get to us - please ask for details. The pool is in the garden which also has a selection of games and a croquet set is set up in the lawn. The gardens slope down to the river but both the garden and the pool are fenced in. There are plenty of organic herbs growing in our garden so if you fancy adding some flavour to your BBQ then don't hesitate to ask and we'll pick some freshly for you. We(the owners) live on site and can help and guide you during your stay as well as book local restaurants, activities, etc... Don't foget to book your private yoga session or Ayurvedic Massage to fully appreciate your stay. Yoga Holidays – we also organise themed short breaks – mainly Yoga & Activity holidays and retreats. A yoga retreat is organised at Le Mournet at the end of September each year combining the practise of yoga postures, breathing & meditation with healthy vegetarian food, walks in the wonderful Ardeche countryside and mushroom collecting in the chestnut forests surrounding Le Mournet. A wonderful last evening is had in the local Auberge where the owner cooks the mushrooms we have collected. A great opportunity to relax & unwind. In November we organise a zen weekend in the resort of Val d’Isère – a combination of yoga asanas with workshops to prepare you for the Winter months ahead. In the months of December, January & April we organise a fabulous luxury long-weekend break near Val d’Isère creating a unique harmony between yoga, skiing and/or snow-shoeing. The chalet we use is a fabulous retreat with amazing views out over the Tarentaise mountains and the lake below. Again a great place to get away from it all and wonderful opportunity to recharge the batteries and de-stress! Ayurvedic Massage – a wonderful compliment either to your holiday or to your yoga break. An Ayurvedic massage renders body and mind relaxed but recharged. It is an all over body massage that works on the different energy zones to stimulate and realign your nervous system and harmonise the entire body’s structure. A great way to de-stress and fill up on positive energy. Rugby World Cup 2007 - This is held in France and we are situated in the heart of France only 2 hours from St Etienne, Lyon and just under 3 hours from Marseille where many of the matches are being held. Paris is only 2 1/2 hours on TGV from Valence.... |

Yoga, Massage, swimming, cycling, tennis (private court 5 minutes walk), walking, canoeing, climbing, playing in the river and local gorges. Situated in Albon d'Ardeche 16km from St Sauveur de Montagut and 40km from Aubenas. We are about 1 hour from Valence and 2 hours from Lyon or St Etienne airport. We are in a beautiful location surrounded by unspoilt countryside and yet within easy driving distance of plenty of activities - swimming in the Gorges, climbing mountains, wonderful forest and hillside walks, swimming in volcano lakes, visiting fantastic medieval villages.....and lots more! We organise yoga holidays, breaks and retreats in both the Ardeche and in the mountains of Savoie - Yoga and Skiing for example is a great combination! We try and harmonise activity and yogic practise to create a deeper sense of physical balance and awareness and a greater depth sense of peace. Do ask for more information. May and June are fabulous months for walking and making the most of the early Spring weather and quieter roads and attractions. September and October are great for walking amongst the Chestnut forests and for making the most of the Autumn colours, wood burning fires and walnut/chestnut harvests. |
