To get to the house you drive the last 6 kilometres along a small winding road of which the last kilometre is unpaved. Mas de la Siguière is set on more than two hectares consisting of the main house with three bedrooms, a one-bedroom guesthouse and a garage. The swimming pool (12 x 6 metres) is just 20 metres from the house. The house, built with only the finest materials, has a fine symmetrical structure with wonderful high windows and ceilings. Much attention was given in the design to characteristics typical of the Provence like the stone fireplace, sinks, tiles, beamed ceilings, and the iron banister, while also paying close attention to modern comforts like central heating, mosquito screening in all the bedrooms, thermostats, box spring beds, comfortable furnishings and modern equipped kitchens. The estate itself offers the possibility to find a quiet place to read a book, to camp out in a tent, to play or go discovering (there are turtles here!). The house with all its facilities is ideal for vacation, work or small group activities. MAIN HOUSE (6 PERSONS) Ground floor: Living room (60 m2): 4 french doors opening onto the patio, a couch for four and two lounge chairs around a big authentic fireplace. A large teakwood dining table with 8 chairs. There is a working corner with a table and a 2 x 2 meter niche, which serves as a small library. Here you’ll find a computer, fax and printer with an internet connection. There is also a very good stereo, tv and dvd player for use. Open kitchen (15 m2): SMEG 6 burner stove with a hot air oven; a fancy refrigerator/freezer with an ice-cube maker from Liebherr; dishwasher; espresso maker. In the hall next to the living room is a pantry with washing machine and dryer, an iron and ironing board, a microwave oven and storage cupboard. There is also a spacious toilet. Adjoining is a 40 m2 well-insulated tiled garage with a pretty beamed ceiling. In front of it is a 28 m2 large pergola-terrace with a teakwood table for 8 and a barbecue. The rooftop is covered in straw and Italian jasmine. The outdoor lighting lets you enjoy evenings outside. In front of the house and by the pool are lawns and scattered around are olive trees, oleanders, lavender and rosemary plants. First floor: Two bedrooms, each 12 m2 with beamed ceilings and two box spring beds 90 x 210 cm. The beds can also be put together to make one king size bed. The closets are beautiful antiques. Bathroom: two sinks, toilet and shower. The main bedroom is 25 m2 large. The ceiling is beamed and there are twin beds (90 x 210 cm) made up as one big one. The closets are built in. There is a spacious family shower with two showerheads (one of which is extra powerful), a toilet, a double sink and a bathtub. GUESTHOUSE (2 PERSONS) Living area (30 m2) with high-beamed ceilings. The sitting area has two comfortable lounge chairs and a hassock. Spacious table and chairs. Luxurious kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher and ceramic stove. TV and stereo. Wide french doors open out to the roofed terrace (20 m2) furnished with teakwood table and chairs. Outdoor lighting and barbecue. Bedroom: 2 box spring beds (90 x 210 cm), built-in closets and french doors that open out onto a small private terrace. Bathroom: sink, toilet, bidet and spacious shower. POSSIBILITIES TO USE THE HOUSE The house can be utilized in various ways: With 4 bedrooms and a separate guesthouse it is very comfortable to stay here with several families or a group of friends. The house is also suitable for group activities for a maximum of 8-10 people. The kitchens are even large enough for cooking classes. The garage can be used for organizing group activities such as for seminars, workshops or sculpting for instance. The vast estate and environs are perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities, walks and excursions. The main house and guesthouse may be rented separately during November through April (ask us about the details). This offers the possibility to stay for longer periods. Because of the internet facilities, the house is also suitable for studies, writing a book or working away from the office. For longer stays of 4 weeks or more, there is a discount on the weekly rental rate. |

Mas de la Siguière is right in the middle of pure nature. From the house you can take great walks and hardly ever bump into anyone. Biking is also good here. You’ll find many paved and unpaved paths to follow. Yet we are not completely isolated. There are some neighbours in the vicinity (at a distance so privacy is ensured) and there are several hamlets (in clusters of five houses) nearby. The closest villages are La Garde-Freinet (7 km) and Grimaud (by the back road 7 km). Both are charming places where you can pick up daily groceries, sit at a café, visit a gallery or try a restaurant. In La Garde-Freinet there’s a market twice a week: Sunday and Wednesday mornings. Grimaud has its weekly market on Thursday morning. Close by are several castle wineries to visit where you can taste excellent wines of the Provence region. St. Tropez, only 20 km away, is certainly worth your while to visit (even if only just to take a peek into the lives of the rich and famous). Here begins one of the most beautiful coastal walks we know of, called: Le Sentier Littoral. The path is tens of kilometres long and even during the peak season you can enjoy the quietness of the beautiful Cote d’Azur. The beaches south of St. Tropez vary from busy to bustling to small quiet picturesque family ones. There are two golf courses in the vicinity. Beauvallon (for those with a handicap of 28 or lower) is 15 kilometres away. Ste. Maxime (for less experienced and modest golfers looking for good practice) is just 25 kilometres away. From either Ste. Maxime or St. Tropez you can take fine boat trips along the beautiful coast or to visit Iles d’Or. The prices quoted are in euros per week and are valid for the periods shown for 2008/2009. Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. During the high and mid season it is only possible to rent the whole house (main house + guest house). During the low season it is also possible to rent the main house or guesthouse only (see below for details). HIGH SEASON 2009: June 27 - Aug 29 € 2950,00 (entire house) MID SEASON 2009: May 30 - June 27 and August 29 - October 3 € 2375,00 (entire house) LOW SEASON 2008/2009 : until May 30 and October 3 - December 31 € 1750,00 (entire house) € 1350,00 (main house only) € 750,00 (guesthouse only) It is possible to rent the guesthouse only from November through April, except for the Christmas holiday weeks. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS - Linens and bath towels are present (bring your own beach towels) - Free upon request are a crib and mattress and a high chair. - It is possible to have the house cleaned occasionally if you like for an extra €15.00 per hour. - There is a €750.00 bond fee (which will be refunded directly to your account after your departure, if there have been no damages). - Family pets are not allowed. - Smoking in the house is forbidden. |
