Beautifully restored to a high standard in 2006- A large quercy stone barn WITH A POOL near the bustling market town of Bretenoux,the Dordogne river and close to Rocamadour.The capacity of the accommodation is from 2 to 10 people plus 2 cots. The old, pretty village of Cornac is situated in the picturesque Lot region of France. Cornac used to be a wine producing village and is close to the wine producing Glanes area.From the top of the nearby hill you can enjoy the view of the village. Tuesdays and Saturdays are the days to visit the bustling market town of Bretenoux, which is also one of the bastide towns renowned in the area.The picturesque and famous Rocamadour is only 25 minutes away-pilgrims used to pass through Cornac on their way to Santiago del Compostella, Spain via Rocamadour. There are so many pretty villages to see- the honey coloured stonework adds charm to the picture postcard look. Take a subterranean boat trip along the tunnels to the grand caverns at the Gouffre de Padirac and see amazing stalgmite and stalagtite formations. The ambiance of the area helps you to unwind as soon as you arrive in the Lot/Dordogne region. Kayak along the stunning Dordogne or play golf at the Chateau du Montal Club all only 10 minutes away. But when energy levels are high again there are plenty of sporting activites available. Visit the Parc Aquatique where your children can have lots of fun on the waterslides. Quad biking and horse riding in the area will take you thorugh pretty woodlands. The route from the A20 motorway, exiting at Cressensac, takes you through the village of Martel with its nine towers and past Vayrac, where it is said that the Gauls made their last stand against the Romans. 2-10 - PEOPLE CAN STAY-plus 2 cots- MINIMUM PRICE- is £480/600 2009 prices- prices are per person. Pick your start dates - we will try to accomodate if your flights are not on Saturdays. Quad biking, bike hire,horse riding, golf, fishing ,kayaking - all within 5 kms radius. Easy travelling to animal parks and water parks. **OUR BARN IS A SINGLE GITE- THEREFORE WHEN YOU RENT-YOU HAVE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE POOL AND GARDEN. GROUND FLOOR: 2 double bedrooms with king size beds, wardrobes, 2 cots available, and heaters 2 twin bedded rooms with storage and heaters 1 single bedded room and heater 2 super deluxe single folding guest beds 2 bathrooms with heaters- 1 with shower, bath, basin and toilet; the other with shower, toilet and basin Staircase leading to upper 1st floor (stair gate available) ~### There is a detachable Mothercare World bedguard in the gite for use with Toddlers if required. ##All bed linen and towels provided (2nd week bed linen provided at additional charge) *beach towels/pool towels are not provided and should be brought by clients.
