Detail
|
|
The Bread oven is a new renovation, completed in 2007 and incorporating the character of an old stone and colombage building with the comfort of a completely new interior.
Situated in a private enclave of 4 buildings, including our own holiday home and two unrestored barns.
All the furnishings are of a very high quality and linen and towels are provided in the price.
The main living room has a wonderful vaulted, beamed ceiling. There is a fully fitted painted country style kitchen with belfast sink and granite worktops. There is a washing machine and dishwasher.
The dinining area (for 6) looks out through french doors onto the secluded rear terrace.
The lounge area is grouped around the log burning stove for cosy evenings. There is a large sofa bed plus another three seeter sofa, plus a flat screen TV with a wide selection of DVDs for all age groups.
The 2 bedrooms are identical in size. Both have ample storage and fully tiled en-suite shower rooms. One has a large 6ft double bed, the other twin beds. Both open out through french doors onto a side terrace which runs the width of the house.
The rear terrace (approached from outside or from the dining area) is totally secluded. Shaded by a pergola and with views of the restored windmill on the hill above. A perfect place for lazy meals or star gazing!
The pool is 12 x 6 metres with Roman Steps. It is surrounded by terraces and is tucked into the hillside giving added privacy without detracting from the far reaching views. The pool has a diving board and safety step along each side. It also has a fully automatic safety cover.
The cottage is particularly suitable for families with babies or young children. On request we will provide everything from a stairgate, cot, baby bath through to a sterilizer and even nappies! The site is particularly safe with the automatic pool cover. We also provide a selection of indoor and outdoor toys, plus children's DVDs. All this equipment is stored in our own house - and must be requested before arrival.
