L'Andraudière is a beautifully restored house with sleeps 6 people. The accommodation on the ground floor comprises of an entrance hall, cloakroom, kitchen and large living room, with tiled floors and original old beamed ceilings throughout. The oak kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, electric oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher, together with an Aga style oven. An iron and ironing board are also provided and a washing machine is available. All pans, glasses, cutlery, crockery and tea towels are provided. the dining table seats 6 people and a high chair and stairgate are available if you have young children. The spacious living room (5m x 6m) is furnished with comfortable seating and a television with satellite, and a DVD player. A wood burning stove is set in an old fashioned fireplace. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, both with a double bed, one also contains bunk beds. A cot bed and single bed can also be made available. Both rooms contain wardrobes and all beds have duvets with bed lined and pillows provided. The first floor bathroom is also fitted with a toilet washbasin, bath and separate shower unit. Ouside there is a large garden where table and chairs are provided together with a barbecue which is situated next to the splash pool. Here you can relax and enjoy the views over the nearby lake and your children can play. The splash pool is available from the end of May until the begining of September. |

| Location | Perfectly situated near to Parthenay and Poitiers making us a convenient location to explore the region. Futuroscope Theme Park is a world renown theme park. It's orginality makes it an attraction not to be missed. There is something for everyone, a brilliant day out for the whole family. Vineyards of the Loire Valley, Bordeaux and Cognac. One highly recommended is Ampedlidae, near Poitiers. The family run vineyard uses organic production methods, they speak good English and are happy to give tours and wine tasting to groups of any size. It is an easy drive to the sandy beaches of the Atlantic Coast including the beautiful and historic town of La Rochelle. Here you will find plenty to see and do including the famous Aquarium. Other places to visit are the Medieval sites in Poitiers and Parthenay, the Mouton Village in Vasles, Roman remains in Sanxay and the unique canal system of the beautiful Marais Poitevin. You will find local cafés,and Ferme Auberges that use their own produce, together with restaurants in the towns and nearby villages which offer a range of food from traditional French cuisine to Chinese and Indian food. A new swimming pool complex with four pools to choose from and a solarium can be found in Parthenay. The Château Des Forges Golf Club is only a short 10 minutes drive away and this offer a fantastic 27 holes in a tranquil and pictureque setting. The club has an English Professional and one of the best restaurants in the region "La Bergerie". | |
