Superbly renovated and with high quality interiors, it has been said that these cottages, which date back over 200 years, are amongst the most beautiful in Brittany. La Chaumiere, one of our two bedroom cottages for 4/5 people has its own unique character and is very well equipped with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. There are two bedrooms, one double room and one twin bedded room. A newly installed bathroom now has a shower cubicle with powerful shower and there is also a full size bath. The lounge has a large wood burning stove, and the views of the River Blavet from La Chaumiere are stunning. There are lots of books, games and cd's. La Garenne is owned by Greg Poole of Select Cottages, who has been letting cottages for nearly 20 years and has a wealth of experience in providing high quality accommodation. We are constantly upgrading and improving our cottages to keep abrest of the high expectations of our holidaymakers. For instance, as well as new bathrooms, we have new curtains, new carpets throughout and many other improvements ensuring the high quality interiors continue to match the charm of La Garenne and its beautiful loation. Facilities include table tennis, badminton, swings, and our heated swimming pool with full terrace, loungers, alarm and security fence. There is a bar and restaurant 5-10 minutes' stroll along the scenic towpath which is also great for cycling and walking. Historic towns with wonderful market days are not far. There are several superb sandy beaches 20-30 minutes' drive and 5 excellent golf courses with 40 minutes. Location:- We are in the Department (County) of Morbihan, so we are near the south coast but central between the west and east of Brittany. The N165 dual carriage way runs close to the southern coast so most of the towns, beaches and places of interest in Southern Brittany are accessible within an hour's drive from La Garenne |
