The house is set at the very early slopes of the Pyrennees and has a very large open plan living area with two very large bedrooms above. Each bedroom has four poster double beds and there are lots of mattresses for children if necessary. There is also a separate room at the side of the house which is a small timber construction. The house has all the usual amenities, washing machine, shower etc. The house is set on the side of a steep large garden with views across valleys to the hills. Its a family house and used to children. Be prepared for peace and quiet, the nearest shops are in Limoux. This has just been posted to this site so will be updated in the next few days. The property is currently available for the whole of August and September and you have to book for a minimum of 2 weeks. |

This is an area of extreme beauty. There are canoe-ing opportunities, horse riding, walking, and a fantastic area for cycling. Perpignan, Toulouse, Barcelona are not too far away and the coast is appx 1 hour. This is a very laid back part of the SW France, not very glitzy which adds to its charm. Limoux itself is a small market town, steeped in history as is all of this region. The river Aude runs through Limoux and the Canal Du Midi is just 30 mins by car at Carcassonne, famous for its stunning castle. |

| How to get here | By plane: Ryanair to Carcassonne or Perpignan or Toulouse. The first choice would be Carcassonne for nearness. Car hire available at the airport. There is no direct transport to the house, only to Limoux from Carcassonne. | |
