The gite allows for accommodation for up to 6 people. There are two large double bedrooms and one twin room. Bathroom with shower and bath plus a separate toilet. Open planned living consists of a kitchenette with fridge and freezer, cooker and microwave, a dining area and room to relax after a days exploring. There is gas central heating fitted. The gite is NON SMOKING TV and DVD player, together with a selection of DVDs in the sitting room. |

| Location |
Barbezieux is a small market town with a population of approx 5000. There is a market every Tuesday where farm fresh produce can be bought. The town has three supermarkets, selling everything including a range of English foodstuffs and delicacies, together with a large number of small bars and good restuarants. The town of Angouleme, the regional capital, is renown for its architechture and cathedral. Particularly inpressive are the old ramparts which are still standing and surround the ancient walled city. The surrounding countryside is mainly gently rolling hills and farmland, noted for the growing of grapes for Cognac production. The river Charente flows nearby and is particularly beautiful where it passes through Angouleme. Bordeaux and its vinyards is less than one hour away and is an easy drive on dual carriageway whilst the coast with its many small ports and beautiful beaches is only 65Kms. Walkers are well catered for with the local council having set up walkways over the old railway from Barbezieux to Baignes whilst cyclists will enjoy the quiet raods surrounding the gite. |

| How to get here |
From Bordeaux take the RN10 heading north towards Barbezieux. At Barbezieux leave the N10 and take the D731 towards Chalais. Approx 7Km you will reach Condeon; carry on the D731 and after approx 5Km you will reach Chez Tetard which is set back from the road about 50mtrs on your left. If arriving from the north of France, take the RN10 from Angouleme south towards Bordeaux. After 30 Km you willa rrive at Barbezieux where you leave the RN 10 and take the D731 towards Chalais. The instructions are then the same as in the first paragraph. |
