The ground floor has French doors opening into a very large and airy lounge-dining area with huge, old beams, wood-burning stove and comfortable seating.
The fully equipped kitchen area has a fridge, freezer, large cooker, microwave and dishwasher.
Upstairs there are three well-appointed and attractively decorated bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: attractive, spacious double bedroom with en-suite facilities (with own shower, toilet and basin) and overlooks the garden and surrounding countryside.
Bedroom 2: delightful, spacious double bedroom. It has views across the garden to fields and woodland and has a large bathroom opposite with shower, toilet and basin.
Bedroom 3: attractive twin-bedded room with en-suite facilities (own shower, toilet and basin) and enjoys views of the village.
Price includes electricity and gas and use of logs for wood-burning stove when appropriate.
La Vieille Ferme is open all year for visitors and is conveniently located in the small, delightfully unspoilt village of Cléré du Bois, with a shop, bakery and restaurant just 5 minutes walk away in the village. The restaurant serves regional French cuisine as well as pizzas and also offers a take-away service. Also two minutes walk from La Vieille Ferme is a large, grassy park on the edge of the village with a children's play area and boules pitch.

There are many activities to do and places to visit in the area. The countryside is very beautiful with gently rolling hills, many rivers, lakes and woodland and is famous for its wine, fine food and the historic châteaux of the Loire. It is an ideal location for walking, cycling around the quiet country roads, horse riding, boating and a variety of water sports, swimming in the rivers and lakes, bird watching, fishing and exploring the wildlife of the Brenne Regional Park.

Use TOURS as target destination (A10 Paris to Bordeaux).
From TOURS take the N143 to LOCHES and on to CHATILLON SUR INDRE.
Take D975 for 8½ km, turn right signposted CLERE DU BOIS for last 2 km.
In Cléré du Bois you will find us on southern edge of the village. Find the church and opposite there is a parking area. Our property is just past this parking area. It has a white limestone drive and is on the road to Obterre.
